Empathy and proactivity are crucial; each new case deserves attention and thorough analysis

After an internship at the Labor Court in Antwerp, Rutger became a member of the Brussels bar in 2013 and worked for 10 years at the Brussels law firm MVVP Advocaten.

Rutger specialised mainly in Civil Law and Administrative Law, thereby expanding his insights into international constitutional law and criminal law.

Rutger built up several years of experience in advising and assisting clients in complex liability cases, where he defended the interests of federal and regional governments before the civil courts and the Council of State. He also handled cases before the Constitutional Court and followed cases before the Supreme Court.

Rutger assists clients in proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights.

In February 2024, Rutger joined Seeds of Law to strengthen its public and administrative law team.
