Peeters Law supports "Maggie goes to Yezidi"

Maggie Program vzw/asbl leaves on 27 April for Dohuk (Northern Iraq - Kurdistan) to build four Maggie shelters into an educational center for the local NGO Panaga.

The latter organisation is active in different refugee camps in northern Iraq with traumatized children imprisoned by Isis. Yezidi is a minority group that has been left to their own devices and has great needs.

The Maggie shelter was developed by DMOA architects (www.dmoa.be).

The Maggie shelter is a low-energy tent that can withstand extreme weather conditions for at least 15 years. It looks like a large tent but has the advantages and functionality of a permanent building. This 105 m2 sustainable construction is already available for the price of a modern family car. Maggie shelters are also valuable in remote or conflict regions outside the humanitarian sector.

DMOA has already received several awards for this innovative shelter, including the Henri Vande Velde award. They set up a broader platform, Maggie Program, that wants to further focus on innovation for social needs.
